Preheat your oven to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and place a pizza stone in the oven. Allow the stone to heat up for about 30 minutes.

While the oven is preheating, prepare the dough. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, combine the active dry yeast, honey, and lukewarm water. Stir well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to activate the yeast. You should notice some foam forming on top.

Add the all-purpose flour, olive oil, and salt to the bowl. Turn the mixer on low speed and mix everything until well combined. Then, increase the speed to medium and let the mixer knead the dough for approximately 10 minutes until a soft ball forms. Add a little bit of extra flour if needed to prevent the dough from sticking to the sides of the bowl.

Transfer the dough ball to a lightly oiled bowl and cover it with a damp towel. Place the bowl in a warm spot in your kitchen and allow the dough to rise until it has doubled in size, which usually takes about 1.5 hours.
